Neil Blower joined the British army when he left school and served five years with the Royal Tank Regiment taking part on operations in Kosovo and the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

He left the army in 2005 after being diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, returning home he developed a passion for literature and writing.

Neil's debut novel Shell Shock: The diary of Tommy Atkins was released October 2011, he is currently working on his second novel and the screenplay for a Television adaptation of Shell Shock.
